The 4-star Granpanorama Hotel StephansHof is situated at 880 metres on the edge of the historic centre of Villandro, between the vineyards of Valle Isarco and the Alpe di Villandro. Every room and suite has a balcony with views across to the Dolomites, with accommodation ranging from comfortable rooms to more spacious suites. The central location in South Tyrol also makes Chiusa, Bressanone and Bolzano as well as several Dolomite hiking areas accessible for day trips.

South Tyrolean cuisine, wine & wellness

The hotel's ¾-board includes a generous breakfast buffet with regional produce, an afternoon buffet, and a four-course dinner with a choice of dishes, combining South Tyrolean recipes with Mediterranean cuisine. Ingredients are sourced locally wherever possible, including lamb from the hotel's own Villandro Carinthian sheep, while the wine selection places particular emphasis on Valle Isarco wines. The wellness area features indoor and outdoor pools, two whirlpools and four saunas, complemented by treatments based on Alpine herbs, grapes and wine. A large garden and panoramic sunbathing lawn provide additional space outdoors.

Hiking around Villandro & winter activities

The surrounding area is particularly suited to active holidays, with routes through vineyards and chestnut groves as well as hikes on the nearby Alpe di Villandro and in the Dolomites. Guided hikes take place several times a week, while hiking equipment and e-mountain bikes are available from the hotel. In winter, guided snowshoe and winter hikes are offered, with free snowshoe hire included. A complimentary hotel shuttle also connects with changing ski areas including Val Gardena and the Sellaronda, Alpe di Siusi, Plose and Gitschberg.

We were warmly welcomed, everything was explained to us, the Tyrolean Guest Card is awesome, we used public transportation often, and during our seven-day stay we got fresh linens twice (kudos)—the breakfast was excellent, there was plenty of fruit in the afternoon, and dinner was always a treat. Thank you so much!

We stayed at the Granpanorama Hotel Stephanshof in September 2025 with four people and were very impressed with the hotel, its fantastic location with stunning views of the Eisack Valley, and the exceptionally friendly staff in all areas. We stayed in the lovely, spacious tower room and had a wonderful holiday both at the hotel and in the surrounding area, including the Villanders-Alm. The hotel offers excellent value for money and is highly recommended for a fantastic holiday.

Everything was great: the rooms were always top-notch, the service was excellent and always available, the dinner was excellent and high-quality, and the location was simply wonderful. Two small points: the complete lack of covered parking and (for me personally) the room was too hot.

It was a very pleasant and enjoyable experience staying at the Stephanshof. I must commend the staff in every way. At both breakfast and dinner, I never felt ignored or bothered and was always well looked after. The location is absolutely ideal, and the panoramic views are magnificent. The spa is a bit dated, but by no means bad. The sauna area offered a good and varied selection, and the swimming pool and whirlpool are perfect. All in all, a very nice and enjoyable experience.

An enchanting location with a perfect atmosphere. The welcome is excellent, everything is explained very well, and the rooms are elegantly and comfortably furnished. The food is top-quality and the flavor is unique. We chose the 3/4 option: Every day at breakfast, you'll receive the evening menu, along with recommendations for activities and hotel offers. With the Alto Adige Card, you can reach all tourist destinations free of charge by bus, train, and, once a day, by cable car. Compliments to the dining room staff: extremely kind and excellent! Superb stay!

Beautiful hotel with truly excellent amenities. Pros: • Excellent breakfast and dinner. • Very friendly and helpful staff. • Clean room with all the amenities described during booking. Cons: To reach the hotel, you have to travel along a relatively steep road with sharp bends. There's not much nearby, so I recommend it for those who want to relax, not as a strategic base for exploring the surrounding area.

Very beautiful location with the right ambience. Reception is excellent, everything is explained very well, and the rooms are beautifully and comfortably furnished. As a special treat, you can choose a 6-course meal in the evening for 16 euros per person. The food is of a very high standard and the taste is unique. Every day at breakfast you get the current evening menu to choose from, along with recommendations for activities and offers from the hotel. With the South Tyrol Card you can reach all tourist destinations free of charge by bus, train, and once a day by cable car. A huge compliment to the hard-working women who provide breakfast, room service, and look after guests in the evening with friendliness and professionalism. Special thanks also to Stephan, who organized and led the Törggel tour to the Johannsen Hof; it was a very nice experience and a wonderful evening.
