Hotel Al Sonnenhof

We vacationed there in September. We were very impressed with the hotel, the food, and the very friendly and accommodating staff. We didn't lack for anything. The food was excellent. We also loved the wellness area. We felt completely at home. We would come back anytime. It's a great starting point for a wide variety of activities. The mountain scenery is simply stunning.

Great spa, that is accessible for outside guests with a day pass. We enjoyed spending the rainy day both in the indoor spa and the outdoor jacuzzi. The owners are very welcoming, and in the spa you can see great attention to detail.

Everything in this little gem nestled in the green mountains of San Vigilio smells of home: Fabian and his wonderful family welcome every guest to this magical place, where every wall, every detail, and every corner exudes tradition, family, and authenticity. Every square meter of the property is cared for with meticulous attention to detail and good taste; the warm, elegant furnishings convey a sense of peace, intimacy, and respectful connection with the surrounding nature. The courtesy and impeccable professionalism of the staff, who work quietly but tirelessly to ensure their guests' stay is perfect, is palpable in every thoughtful attention they give. When you're at the Sonnenhof, you have that rare and priceless feeling that nothing is missing: every wish is spontaneously and naturally fulfilled by an unparalleled team. Honorable mention goes to the Kitchen, the Chef, and his team, who create Michelin-starred dishes at every meal—delicate yet with inimitable and unforgettable flavors, plated with refinement and expert attention to detail. Finally, a special thanks to Antonella and Salvatore, who masterfully manage the dining room, caring for each guest, making them feel special, pampered, and loved from the first to the last moment. Leaving here every year is a blow to the heart… but it's soothed by the rock-solid certainty of being able to embrace all this wonderful happiness again…in just 355 days. Every Thursday evening, a Ladin dinner is offered, a menu of delicious and generous traditional dishes that's definitely worth trying. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is elegant and welcoming, with a distinctive character.

Excellent and plentiful traditional food, very kind and helpful staff, very characteristic hotel, I recommend going because it is really worth it and very much worth it!

The hotel is truly excellent, partly family-run. We owe a huge thank you to Antonella and Salvatore, who pamper you from the first to the last day. The cleanliness of the rooms, as well as the breakfast and dinner, are excellent. The only two negatives, which we felt were shared by all the guests we spoke with, are the price of water at dinner (€4 for a 0.75-liter bottle, I presume, refilled daily), and the €25 per night charge for bringing your dog to the hotel, but without a bowl or similar (not that they were obligated, but for €250 spent "for nothing," we would have hoped for a little more). Aside from these two negatives, our stay was excellent.

A beautiful hotel, furnished in Ladin style and expertly managed by Fabian's family and their staff. The service is friendly and welcoming, with helpful excursion tips for guests. The location is central to every destination. The rooms are spacious and clean, stylishly furnished, and feature large balconies. Recommended for all ages, including families. The cuisine is excellent, with a wide variety of dishes, and the surprise of an excellent Ladin dinner in the hotel's traditional stube. We will definitely return.

A unique experience, excellent services, and a hotel in a great location for many trips and excursions, perfect for an unforgettable week. Recommended for both families and couples.

Two weeks spent, positive opinion in all aspects: kindness of the staff, excellent breakfast and dinner, thorough cleaning, perfection does not exist but you deserve a nine!!

I'm giving it 5 stars only because I can't give more! From the day we arrived to the day we left, Fabian and his entire staff pampered us and made us feel at home! It will be a pleasure to return next year! Highly recommended!
