Haus Schieder in Castelrotto is situated in a sunny location above the village, offering spacious self-catering flats rated for 4-6 persons each. The apartments include multiple bedrooms, bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen-living area, balcony or terrace and views of the Sciliar mountain ridge. The setting at the foot of Alpe di Siusi is calm and residential, yet only a short ride or walk from the village centre and bus stops, making it both peaceful and accessible.

Each apartment at Haus Schieder is equipped for autonomous living: kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, bed linen and towels supplied, and a bread delivery service available. Shared outside areas include a garden with sun-bathing lawn, barbecue corner, children’s playground, table-tennis and table-football; parking is reserved for guests and there is a washing machine. The hosts maintain a helpful approach, providing maps, advice on hiking and cycling routes, and a genuine welcome.

Access to Alpe di Siusi & all-season activity

From Haus Schieder you are well placed to explore the Alpe di Siusi area, the Sciliar plateau and surroundings. In summer, forest trails and ridge routes begin nearby; in winter the village’s bus service connects you to the Alpe di Siusi ski lifts and cross-country tracks. After a day outdoors you return to a well-equipped flat, enjoying relaxing moments on the terrace and a view over the alpine countryside of South Tyrol.

Self-catering apartments for rent, well-stocked with kitchen and linens, fresh rolls for breakfast upon request, a truly hospitable hostess, a quiet location, and spectacular views. From the kitchen window, a picture-perfect view. A special vacation.

With the Schieder family, you don't feel like a number, but rather like a truly welcome guest. I can absolutely confirm the previous positive reviews. Mrs. Schieder always strives to make you feel comfortable and is available to offer advice and assistance. I haven't experienced anything like this in vacation apartments before; you'd gladly return, or even more often. It's not an anonymous hotel feel, but rather a home with friendly people. The apartments are in good condition, and the bathrooms appear to have been freshly renovated. I slept well during my 14-day stay. The kitchen has everything you need; a little more cutlery and a few more glasses wouldn't be a bad idea, so you don't have to run the dishwasher after every meal. Everything is clean, and there's plenty of storage space. The surrounding grounds are well-maintained and offer numerous places to sit and enjoy the view, which is truly wonderful. The location is great; a bus stops very close to the apartment, and the Kastelruth bus station also offers onward travel in many directions. Public transport connections are excellent. You can also get everywhere easily by car, and park your car conveniently on the farm grounds. The area is also easy to explore on foot. Necessary shops for daily needs are within easy reach of Castelrotto. All in all, a very beautiful area with stunning views, magnificent expanses, and plenty of nature.

The Schieder house, or rather the Schieder family, is highly recommended! Even after many years of renting out, Mrs. Schieder is so welcoming that it's hard to leave. Worth every star! We'd love to come back! THANK YOU!!!

We stayed at the Schieder house from August 6th to 20th. It was so welcoming we really enjoyed it. There was even a delicious freshly baked cake. It was very welcome after a hike. Unfortunately, the daily grind has caught up with us again. Thank you, the Schieder family. Take care and stay healthy. Best wishes, the Krebs and Diederich families.
